These images were for a univesity class; Photo Media and Art Practice. The assessment was to focus on a theme, where I decided to demonstrate twins being identical. For this project, “Same but Different”, I wanted to explore this relationship between two siblings that are the same but different in a minimalistic and visual way. I explored many ways to show the relationship between twins, whilst also comparing the similarities and differences between the pair. To do this, I decided on focusing on portrait photography to really grasp the idea of the relationship. By keeping in mind with the concept of ‘same but different’ I was able to explore techniques which helped aid this idea and frame my final folio. My folio is to make the audience visualise and identify these similarities and differences between twins and to find a deeper understanding with the connections they have.
